The Alplaus Residents Association has worked with other organizations within the community for more than 50 years to enhance the experience of living in Alplaus. On November 12, 2026 the ARA is inviting each of the high school age students, regardless of whether they are home schooled, attend Niskayuna High School or a another school, who live in the 12008 Zip Code, to come to the Fire House and talk about their experiences living and or growing up in the village. Even if students feel that they have little to comment on, the ARA encourages them to come and hear what others have to say about their experiences. The meeting will start at 7:00 and end promptly at 8:30. Students are welcome to come with their parent or by themselves. Refreshments will be served and conversations will be informal. The ARA is interested to have the perspectives of the younger residents of the village so that their needs can be considered in future planning and in the evaluation of past endeavors.
